Gwyneth Paltrow in "Spiderman: Homecoming."

Goop's Faulty Memory – Sebastian Who?

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Yes, but does Goop remember "Shallow Hal?"

Last month it was revealed that Gwyneth Paltrow that had no recall of appearing in "Spiderman: Homecoming" when on a cooking show with that film's actor/producer/director Jon Favreau. According to a report on Collider, they were appearing on Netflix's new The Chef Show with celebrity chef Roy Choi when Favreau referred to their appearance together in that film.

"'Spider-Man?!?' Paltrow asked with perfect incredulity, as if it's not only a film, but a concept she's never heard of before," Collider reported.

Goop's memory may be shady because Pepper – her character – only appears briefly towards the end of the film in which she was fourth-billed (behind Tom Holland, Zendaya and Marisa Tomei). But it required further prodding by Favreau and Choi for Goop to remember.

"Remember Spider-Man in the end and...and...Tom Holland's there, and you're going to walk out and do a press conference?" asked Favreau.

"Oh! Yes!" Paltrow says, Collider reports. "The light bulb has been switched on, and as in Plato's 'Allegory of the Cave,' she has been led out from the darkness of her ignorance and into the sunlight of knowledge. And it's all thanks to a reference to darling Tom Holland (who also guest stars on an episode of The Chef Show). 'That was Spider-Man? Oh my God!'"

But on Thursday Paltrow's foggy memory returned when her "Avengers"-co-star Sebastian Stan shared a photo of himself at the Valentino couture show alongside the brand's creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, house founder Valentino Garavani, supermodel Lauren Hutton and Paltrow, "" Glad="" I="" got="" to="" reintroduce="" myself="" to="" @gwynethpaltrow="" for="" the="" third="" time.="" We="" are="" in="" the="" same="" film...???????????'="" Stan,="" who="" appeared="" in="" both="" 'Avengers:="" Infinity="" War'="" and="" 'Avengers:="" Endgame'="" with="" the="" actress,="" wrote="" in="" the="" caption,"="" writes="" Page="" Six.
"At the "Infinity War" premiere last year, Paltrow was caught on camera asking fellow Marvel star Chris Pratt who Stan is," the report continues.

"'Sebastian Stan plays Bucky,' Pratt responded in the video. 'Bucky is the Winter Soldier.'"

But Stan can take solace is Spiderman himself: Tom Holland whose newest "Spiderman: Far From Home" looks to make close to $200 million since opening on Wednesday, was also snubbed by Goop.

"'Spider-Man' star Tom Holland, meanwhile, seems equally bummed that Paltrow can't place him. 'I mean, I've only worked with Gwyneth one time, on 'Spider-Man' target='_blank'> Homecoming,' which she doesn't remember,' he admitted during a video interview with PopSugar. 'Which still to this day breaks my heart.'"
